I am extending a plea for help. I starting researching my family tree and am only to verify a small amount of information. The only remaining living persons to consult are my father and my aunt whose "stories" are conflicting. Here is the information I was able to verify:
Roy C. Glaude-dob 8/19/39-living (my father),son of Frank Alfonse Glaude dob 9/14/04,dod 5/11/71 died in Halfmoon, NY (Saratoga County), Frank's sisters were Yvonne Glaude Saunders dob 8/23/01,dod 8/93 died in El Paso, Tx; Ethel Glaude Ubrich dob ?, dod? living?
Unable to verify: Parents of Frank Alfonse Glaude, Yvonne Glaude Saunders and Yvonne Glaude Ubrich. Franklin Glaude was definately their father's name. No conclusive information of their mother's name-could be Ruth St. Clair, Ruth St. Pierre, Anna St. Pierre, Clare St. Pierre or ? She was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Waterford, NY (which they have no listing for-my father attended funeral when he was very young).Information provided in Frank Alfonse Glaude's obiturary is inconclusive and no family bible exists.
Searching for a place of birth for Frank Alfonse Glaude, Yvonne Glaude Saunders, Ethel Glaude Ubrich and Franklin Glaude. "Stories" indicate possibly, St. John, Quebec or St. John, New Brunswick Canada.Stories also refer to this family living on boats or ships.Perhaps exporting or importing goods from Canada to the U.S, fishing, etc. My grandfather (Frank Alfonse Glaude)was unable to read or write, I suspect his father (Franklin Glaude) suffered the same wrath.
I have written to the U.S. Social Security Administration and am hopeful that will assist me in the next place to search. However, due to the lack of reading and writing skills, someone else probably completed those applications. There is a slim chance that the information provided on that document is accurate.
If you have information regarding this family please let me know.Your cooperation is extremely appreciated...I hope I haven't run into a dead end.
