Hello! I am working on the Glesaaen family, to try to find some information abot the people now and earlier, and I want to know if you could help me find out what happend to a uncle of my father of my husband, after he emigrated to S.Dakota with a boat from Oslo 24. of april in 1903. He was born at a farm in Aamot, called Nedre (the lover) Glesaaen. His fathers name was: Hans Simensen (b.16.01.1842), and his mother was Ingeborg Andersdatter (b.29.10.1848). I know many people from the nearest farm: Øvre (the abough) Glesaaen emigreted to USA, and took the sure name after the small river near by those farms called: Glesaaen (means the glittering river). The place is not far from were I live, and the house were Anton was born is still in a good shape. A big woodbuilded house east in the suothern Norway. I have notised thar the name has been change a bit in USA (Gleason, Gleeson, ....). I think that I can help yuo with some information about Glesaaen in Norway, if you are interested. This summer we are going to have a familyparty whitch include all members of the family Glesaaen. I hope some of you read this and can help med with my reaseach. Thank You!
