I do believe that John may have been the son of Amasa Gleason. John married 14/Oct/1830 Marion Co.OH. The 1830 Marion Co.census lists 2 Gleason households: Jason Gleason with 1 male 30-40 and Amasa Gleason with 1 male 20-30 and 1 male 40-50.
Though not proven, I came to the conclusion that Amadella may have been the sister of John Gleason because of the 1850 Monroe Co.OH census. MY GGGrandfather, George Gleason(son of John and Eleanor Masters Gleason)was living next door to Cathrone(?) Masters and family. Two households away were your John and Amadella Gleason Masters family. There is also the rather uncommon name of Amadella that was passed down in my family. I would appreciate your thoughts either on the forum, or privately.
