Help-Looking for Scranton Gleasons! My name is Michele Anne (McTiernan) Gleason - I am researching my Gleason ancestry (settled in Scranton via Ireland) of which I have no genealogical information. I am looking for relatives who knew of my grandfather Gleason and his family. (I know quite a bit about my McTiernan heritage of county Leitrim Ire. who also lived in Scranton along with the Gleasons!)The following information may help someone remember and contact me!:
My grandfather's name was Paul Robert Gleason of Scranton. He married my grandmother Mary Elizabeth McTiernan (also of Scranton, born 1921 - one of 6 children born to Elizabeth Needham 1883-1953 and John McTiernan 1883-1933)I believe in the 1940's. They gave birth to three sons: Paul Patrick (1946), Ronald, and Robert Paul (1950). He was a coal miner who eventually moved his family to Maryland. He passed away at in Maryland in the early 1960's shortly before my birth and is buried there at Dulaney Valley Cemetery.
My grandfather Paul Robert Gleason had two brothers, Bill and Joe. I believe his mother's name was Marie (we called her "Mom Gleason" - his father passed away before I was born - I do not know his name. One of his brothers had a daughter named Joan,(also lived in Baltimore, Maryland and had two additional daughters) who was my Godmother.
If this information 'jogs' the memory of soemone I'd love to hear from you! God Bless! Michele Anne (McTiernan) Gleason email@example.com
