Hi Christina. Sorry but I don't think I can help at the moment. Anything is possible but there are too many guesses at the moment to be sure.

In any event I believe that there were two different Gledhill family lines in the Elland/Rastrick areas - one had money and one didn't. I think my side came from the latter.

There are a lot of George Gledhill's in the area so it can be very difficult to find the correct one.

My Susannah Dyson was the daughter of Daniel Dyson (b Elland) and Mary Methley (b Elland) who were married in Elland on 8 Dec 1763. There children were Sarah, Susannah, Dan, Joseph, Nanny & Hannah.

From somewhere I have details of a 2nd marriage for my George Gledhill marrying a Rebecca Sutcliffe on 30 September 1787 - this is obviously incorrect as he would have been only 11 years old at the time!!! I don't know where I got those details from.
