My great-grandfather, Charles Frederick Phy, is listed in the 1880 Census as living with M. and M. Gleeson, and their 1 year old son C. Gleeson, in the 24th Ward in Philadelphia. The adult male M. and my ggrandpa were listed as laborers. He married a year later and went to work for the Baldwin Locomotive Company of Philidelphia. I am wondering in the female M. Gleeson was one of his sisters, and if C. Gleeson was his nephew, possibly named after him. If this rings any bells, please contact me.
