I know Diane...I'm sure she'd thank you for your kind words about her extensive research.
However, I assure you that she did NOT get overwhelmed by the research--she enjoys it very much! From what she's told me, she was in a huge hurry to do the Glidewell research trying to fit it in before her father died working as quickly as possible from 1987 - 2003 after he was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and when he died earlier than the doctor's expected, she tabled her research. I remember that she said her dad was glad for what she had found up to that point.
She pulled her Glidewell Genealogy web site when she found out that another researcher was publishing her work as a book and claiming it as their own.
She is now nearly finished with her PhD, and that has taken most of her time since then. She intends to continue researching and was recently teaching others how to research locally. Also, I know she did visit the Indiana farmstead of ca 1825 and the OH area in the summer of 2010 and took some photos, etc. of where William and Suzanna settled after arriving from SC ca 1800.Diane's still around and although I'm not sure what her plans are, I DO know that she's got a plan...just have to wait and see I guess.Happy hunting, cousins!
