Noticed your posting in May 1999, "Who are Jane Godfrey's Real Parents?"You mention in the publication "Cape May County Magazine of History & Genealogy, June, 1953, pg. 251 appears an article on the Swain family and it mentions John Godfrey of Ipswich who was tried for witchcraft and was exonerated.
I understand that an Isabella possiable surname Craddock or Upham married to William Holdridge was the principal witness in John Godfrey's witchcraft case in 1659.
I am trying to find more documention regarding Isabella and her testifing in this case.I am wondering if the publication you mentioned has more information regarding this particular witch trail.
Any information is most appreciated.Thank You! Susan Perry PrrySus@aol.com
