Searching for wife's ancestor:Allard GOLDEN.Born 23 March 1814 in South Carolina or Ireland, died 7 April 1887 in Paris TX.Married Thursa Charlotte PRICE abt 1838.She was born 3 February 1822(1825) in SC and died after 1900 in Paris, TX.

Trying to determine where he was born; if not in Ireland, when did Golden family come from Ireland?

Allard GOLDEN and Thursa PRICE had several children, one of whom was James Harleston GOLDEN -- James Harleston had a son John Wesley GOLDEN who had a son Ernest E. GOLDEN who is my wife's father.

Notes in Golden Family History say Allard and Thursa Charlotte Price we re married in Randolph County, AL, or, Georgia, in 1839 or 1840

Allard was born in SC or in Ireland.

Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Lamar County, TX

Golden Family is Scotch-Irish and Price Family is from Scotland

--"Of interest -- Susannah Golden, who was widowed, headed a family in 1790, according to the 96th District, SC, records; Pendleton County, SC.She could be Allard's mother."
-- "Members of Golden, Harrison, and Humphries families moved to Paris, TX, settled, died, and were buried there.Children of Allard Golden were among these."
