Glad to see that a few of the family are finding my page. I sure wish I could add something but no new news here. In one Irish surname book it mentioned the Gollehon name as being DERIVED from the Irish but I loaned the book and it forgot it's way back home. Recently I received an email that is interesting although I don't know if any proof has been found yet. This person suggested that the Gollehons came from American Indian country in Tennessee. Records show that the were migrating east about 1780-1800 so there may be something to it. Also the Melungeons come to mind as the starting place for the Gollehons... What do you think? The early Gollehon pictures sure don't rule out this possibility.
