Annette, I think I jumped to fast in responding with John Goode and Elizabeth Jane "Janie" Hawkins as if I was agreeing this John was the father of Timothy Goode. As a matter of fact I cannot find the name Timothy in any of the known descendants of John Goode of Whitby or Edward Goode of Fourmile Creek. So please forgive me for misleading you. What I do have is the same as you have, a John Goode that I cannot connect to either John of Whitby or Edward of Fourmile.I show the father of this John as Thomas Goode, as you mentioned.I show John left the will others have mentioned and that he had children, Timothy, Nancy, and Ellender, but nothing else.I assume I got this info during my research of the KY records, but I could not tie him tomy Goodes.I have over 12,000 names in my Goode database and the name Timothy Goode only shows once, this Timothy.A rare name for a VA Goode, unless he comes from the Richard line, which has not been found to connect to either John or Edward. Be aware that Casey Co came out of Lincln in 1807 and your John Goode is living right in the middle of my Goodes when he died in the first half of 1800.I do have a lot of data on Lincoln Co Goodes. The key names to look at during this period are from the 1800 tax census: Camill (Campbell) Good, Fleming Good, John Good, and Jenny Good.I think the Fleming Good comes from Richard.Fleming was the son of John Goode and Judith Fuqua.Richard researchers are trying to connect this. There must be a connection in all this somehow but I haven't found it. Camill (Campbell) Goode is in my Goode family, son of Daniel Goode.Another tidbit is a Ginny Goode married Robert McKan on 20 Aug 1804. Since John had died in 1800 it would be normal for the wife to remarry if the children were under age.I have no info on how old the children were. The way I read the will, the home tract "to pass on to son Timothy", may have indicated he was not yet of age.I'll continue to search my old files to see if I can find anything else.If you have more info on the children of your John it might help me.Goode luck.
