MR. HERMON J. MONK of this city and MISS IDA GOODHART of Corydon were united in marriage in this city on Sunday afternoon, June 18, 1905. The ceremony took place at five o'clock at the Baptist Parsonage and was performed by Rev. F.B. Palmer in the presence of only a few witnesses. MR. and MRS. MONK left Monday for a few days' visit in Humeston after which they go to their future home in Nevada, Mo.
The groom has resided in Chariton for some time where he has been in the employ of H.H. Larimer, the hardware dealer, as a tinner and plumber. He recently purchased an establishment at Nevada, Mo. He is an honest upright young man, and has won the high regard of all with whom he has become acquainted. His bride has been engaged in dressmaking in Humeston the past few years, and is spoken of in the highest terms. The Leader wishes MR. and MRS. MONK a life of unalloyed happiness.
