I hope you are still online. Might you descend of this marriage; would love to correspond as I have researched the marriage of William and Ruth (Preston) Goodhue more than once.
As to their sons Ebenezer. If I have been careful enough in my record keeping, one was born c1735 and one and was born c1755. One presumes the younger Ebenezer likely dec'd. However, in reviewing the continuing genealogy of the family, I was thrown off by the entry I reviewed on the marriage between the man who seemed son of William and Ruth, to Sarah Burnham. The continuing information I review about "Ebenezer" was mixed up. I'd love to make the link but don't wish to rush such an early link.
Below is the note I posted to my file. Hope to hear from you.
>>Broken Link>> Ebenezer b. Bef. 13 July 1755, Ispwich, Essex Co., MA. Record reads, "GOODHUE, Ebenezer, s. William sr. and Ruth, bp. July 13, 1755," with reference to "church record - Chebacco Parish Church." Possibly the Ebenezer Goodhue m. Sarah Burnham, note conflict below. Goodhue family : in England and America to the year 1890. Goodhue, Jonathan E.. Rochester, N.Y.. unknown. 1891. --- #213. Ebenezer, b. July 13, 1755.
[Note: This text carries record of the marriage Sarah Burnham/Ebenezer, but calls out her spouse as Ebenezer #206, who one would presumed dec'd as a much younger brother is given that name. Nonetheless, the text reports Sarah's spouse, Ebenezer born on July 13, 1735 who said m. 1778 to Sarah Burnham, and had: 569. Ebenezer b. 13 July 1780; 570. Thomas B., b. 1790; 571. William b. 1781; 572. Sarah, b. ----; d. 11 Mar 1840 (unmarried); 573. Ruth (twin/no record); and, 574. Lucy (twin/no record).]
