John Goodlett, Graves Co KY
In researching my Gordon family I came across this document.
Graves Co KY - Circuit Court Book G, page 580, June 11, 1856
William Crittenden against W.A. Eaker & John Goodlett and Others, defendants.
The defendant John Goodlett moved the court to disolve the injunction granted to W.A. Eaker in this case & the court being advised doth sustain the motion. It is therefore ordered that the injunction aforesaid be disolved and that said Goodlett recover of the defendant Eaker the sum of six dollars, 40 cents damages and also his costs herein expended and that execution issue. Thereupon in motion of plff ordered that R.B. Gordon, James H. Armstrong & his wife Angelina Armstrong be and are hereby warned and required to appear in this court on or before its next term and answer the plaintiff petition it being shown by competant proof that they are not inhabitants of this state.
The Gordon & Armstrong family were residents of Arkansas & travelled to Graves County for the court case. Are there any Goodlett, Eaker, Crittenden researchers that know anything of the court case???
