Tanya, my second cousin, Forest Goodrum, formerly the engineer for the city of Houston (grandson to T.J. Goodrum), purportedly had a very thorough Goodrum geneology done around 1957, which traced the family directly back to Mary Queen of Scots, so it is likely that it was related to a royal lineage, at least in this track. Unfortunately, I never got a copy of that geneology, but maybe someone knows how I could get a copy. The "twin kings of England" were Guthrum and Alfred, whom I believe were Saxons. There was a Guthrum in the Nibilungenlied, the bloody pan-Germanic epic, who was possibly related to Attila the Hun, since he was believed to be the "wise old uncle" mentioned in the epic. That's what makes geneology fun!
