B. 13 Regiment Texas Calvery & died in Limestone Co. Tx. Child: Leonidas O., James Clayton & Robert Wells. Elizabeth Jane stayed in the Weldon area, Buried in Weldon Cem. Houston Co. Benjamin Franklin, b 4-5-1843 - 3-3-1899 m Laura Robinson, Child; Emily. 2nd m. Mary Robinson sister of Laura, daughters of Charles & Harriet Clark Robinson. Ben & Mary had 10 child: Burton Eugene Devilla, Earl Benjamin, J., Gould, Marlow, Barton Clark, Linnie Ola, O.K. Emma Jane & Mary Dixie. Benjamin F. was a farmer & worked delivering the mail. Houston Co., Tx Thomas Van,8-5-1850 - 1-17-1906 youngest of the Goodrum boys. m.Melvina (Babe) Hicks, youngest child of Littlebrry & Mary Edwards Hicks.Thomas & Babe had 5 girls: Vanada E., Mary Frances (Fannie), Mucie Dora, Cora, Elizabeth & Viola. Melvina died in 1887 Burial Antioch Cem. Houston Co. Tx. Thomas Van married Sarah Lucrita (Keet) Smith 1-25-1865-6-17-1939, daughter of George & Nancy Little Smith in 1890 3 child lived: Mary Agnes (Mollie,) Thomas Chester, & William Glover. Thomas Van Goodrum was active in farming, land dealings & had a cotton gin in Weldon, Houston Co. Tx. Burial Salem Cem. Houston Co. Tx. Marion b. 1833 m.A.B. Cook. Child: Ed, Bob, Amelai, Charles, Sarah & William. Elizabeth, 7-3-1848-3-3-1915 No childred Frances b. 1834 & A.D. b.1846. Mary Richards Goodrum is buried in an abandoned cemetery in the Wm. Dillard survey east of Weldon on the John Hanna Place. Vanada E Goodrum was married to Dr. Joheph Henry Nelson, in 1917 he bought 183 acres of the Wm. Dillard servey east of Weldon. The 61 acres that's still in the family belongs to Joni Cash Dillard. A Goodrm died & the paper said he had been a farmer. Relatives laughed & said he had never had a hoe in his hand, he was a gamblor & boot legger.
