Deanna, I have been working on the Goodrum family in preparation for an upcoming reunion this year and to attempt to get one of the pioneer graveyards restored in Warren County, Kentucky. The Washington County, Goodrum line and the line that are found in The Drake Creek area of Kentucky and Tennessee are from the same family. I know that many of the St.Mary's County data bases refer to Marion County, but it was not formed until 1832 from Washington County. Please contact me and I will attempt to help you more. Both of these lines appear to lead back to Thomas Goodram/Goodrum. Thomas was a convicted felon in England and was transported to Annapolis, Maryland in 1719 at age sixteen. Thomas died in Virginia about 1778. I have some limited information on his descendants who have spread all over the South and West. I would like for anyone who has ties to this family to contact me as I am attempting to collect the complete family. I am missing documentation for Thomas' indentured service, his marriage and the births of his children. Web research indicates that he had four sons, James, John, William (William is the line that the Maryland line comes from.) and Thomas. I find that it is very unusual that he had no daughters. There may be some missing children somewhere. I am willing to work with anyone that can shed more light on this family. My database has over 1600 descendants of Thomas and that number grows daily. I am Robert D Cline, Wirenut1@alltel.net, and Founder of the Drakes Creek Family Research Association.
