JASPER, AR - Eddie Gore, 49, of Jasper, Arkansas, formerly of Springhill, Louisiana died Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the UAMS Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas after a long lost battle with Leukemia. He was born December 3, 1959 in Natchez, Mississippi.
Eddie was an equipment operator for Charles Allen Contractors, was employed in the storeroom at International Paper, and worked for Buffalo Canoes in Jasper. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his parents, Lewis and Jean Gore of Taylor, Arkansas; brother, Jim Gore and wife Retha of Camden, Arkansas; sisters, Debbie Bennett and husband Greg of Ruston, Louisiana, Lori Terrell and husband James of Texarkana, Texas; nephews, Jim Gore and wife Michalee, Jeremy Tisdale, Jesse Tisdale, Grayson Terrell; nieces, Ashley Cook, Juliana Terrell, Michala Terrell; six great nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Lewis Chapel with Bro. John Nations officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill City Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Springhill, Louisiana. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Farrington, Wayne Whaley, Raymond Spence, Mickey Colvin, Dennis Robin, Kelly Haynes, Jeff Spence, and Danny Mayfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Kirby Carlton, Will Film, Dave Sparks, Gary Gordon, and Hubert Roberson.
