While doing research at the DAR Library in Washington, DC, I found a document written by Samuel Gramley (ca. 1826-1/13/1903) to the DAR. In it is some valuable genealogical information about the descendants of Valentine Gramly through his son Francis Gramly (ca 1856-1833). This is the Francis Gramly that settled in Brushvalley, Miles Township, Centre Co., Pa.
One interesting note from this document is that Samuel claims that his grandfather Francis was Valentine’s only son. That seems to be contradictory to some of the information I’ve seen on the internet.
Other surnames are Spangler, Purman, Krape, Walker and others.
I typed the contents of this document into a Word document. I am willing to send it as an attachment to anyone who requests it. It has some obvious typographical errors; I re-typed it exactly as it is-- errors and all. I did correct one misspelling of which I was sure, that was the surname Krape, which he spelled Krope.
