Ellen's obituary is on Ancestry, & it says she was survived by sons John, James, & Lawrence, & three daughters Nellie FAY [Ellen, b. 1864], Kate [Catherine] ROURKE, & [Margaret] Mrs. Charles WENTWORTH.Funeral was at St. Francis Catholic Church./In 1900, Ellen was with her unmarried son William (Mar. 1875 - 1902). She had immigrated in 1854.
Censuses of 1870 & 1880 don't agree on the ages.In 1870 there were Lawrence& Ellen GREEN, 35 & 36, both born in Ireland, with ch. Ellen, 6; John, 4; James, 1; & Lawrence, 3 months, all b. CT.However, in 1880,Lawrence GREEN was 53, he & parents were b. Connecticut.Ellen, 52,& parents were b. Ireland.
