This whole thing further interests my father. Seems there's been an aura of mystery about George Greener. There were members of the family who knew the story but refused to tell us about Granpa Greener. Their. reply was always, "You don't want to know!". They took the mystery to their grave. They always referred to Elizabeth Whyctek, whom incidently, George Greener never married, as Grandma. We assumed she was the mother of Albert Greener. If she was, then this whole thing crumbles unless George Greener had another family in Great Britain and that's who he brought to the States. I know I have a wild imagination. My greatgrandmother, Ida Florence Greener was born in 1877. She married August 27, 1893. She was the daughter of Albert Greener and Mary Muckle Greener. Mary Muckle Greener's parents lived with them while Ida was growing up. My father would like to know if anyone knows when George Greener left the military or anything of an Elizabeth Whyctek.
