I'm not a descendant of this line, but have this info. If this is your Sarah Ellen in the 1881 census, below, she was probably b abt 1879, and likely daughter of George M. Greenlaw and Sarah Brachan. I don't know George M. Greenlaw's parents.
Elmsville is in St. Patrick parish, New Brunswick.

John Frederick Armstrong was b 16 Apr 1847, bp 16 Aug 1847, at St. Patrick's Presbyterian Church, son of John and Sarah Jane Armstrong.
