I have more information now on the children of C.L. Greeno. I beleive this is a complete list of them and their birth dates.
(i)Mary- May 15, 1867 (m. Lewis Newton GATCH 1890 (d. 1936) (children: Loren Greeno (1891-1942) John Newton) Died 1926, two months before the death of her mother.
(ii)Anna L. - Sept 10, 1868 (m. Deams COCHLIN)
(iii)Myra E. -March 16th, 1870 (M. Wm. BASS) died 1950.
(iv)Edna G. - March 18th 1871 (m. Walter MOORE)
(v)Charles - Sept 15, 1872
(vi) Adelaide - Oct 6, 1875 (died in early childhood)
(vii)Dorothy - March 11, 1877 - d.1965
(viii) Sarah E. - Aug 1, 1879 (m. Wm. KEEN)
(ix) Esther M. - Jan 17, 1881 (m. Gibson David PACKER, Nov. 16, 1916) Child: Loren David Packer b. 1917 - d. 1986.
(ix)Edward Weidman. - Dec 6, 1883(m. Julia RANKIN Children: John Rankin, Edward,Lucy Elizabeth) d. 1968.
(xi) Loren Walden - Feb 21, 1886 - d. Nov. 8, 1916. Graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. Diagnosed with Bright's disease and had to resign from the navy.
Also, Charles Loren Greeno's business was called the C. L. Greeno Company for the greater part of its existence, I believe.
I also have reason to surmise that Charles had a third brother, younger than Amos, named Wallace.I have letters of Charles from the war addressing him as Brother Wallace (he addresses Amos as Brother Amos), and towards the end of the war he discusses the possibility of Wallace's being drafted and says that the army has already had two of the family. I have no information as to what became of him in this regard.
I have also found a photo. On the back of it is written: "The Greeno Homestead at Rutland, Vermont". I tried to send to your email, but it wouldn't go through.
