I am looking for someone in the family of Alexander or Lex Greenway who was born in Georgia, moved to Alabama around 1860, back to Georgia during the Civil War, then to Ohio during the Civil War, and then Unknown.
However, one of his great granddaughter, Pauline Greenway was living in Nashville, TN. in the early 1940's. A letter from Pauline Greenway indicated that Alexander had at least two brothers, John and Henry.I think John is correct but do not any reference to Henry.
The information I have so far on this family is as follows:
Alexander Greenway, born about 1810, in Georgia and married Millie Polly Everett in Georgia. They had they following children: Rosier S. Greenway, born about 1835, in Hall County, GA. John Greenway, born about 1838, in Hall County, GA. Mary Greenway, born about 1839, in Hall County, GA. James (H.) Greenway, born about 1842, in Hall County, GA. Amada Greenway, born about 1847, in Hall County, GA. Henry Greenway, born about 1847, in Hall County, GA. Samuel Greenway, born about 1848, in Hall County, GA. Dock(Doctor) W. Greenway, born about 1850, in Hall Conty, GA Other children were born into this family but do not have their names.
James H. Greenway married unknown and had at least one child: Walter Greenway.
Walter Greenway married unknown and had at least one child: Pauline Greenway who was living in Nashville, TN in 1940.
I have letter from Pauline Greenway that was written February 12, 1940 requesting information on her family from the Georgia Archives in Atlanta, GA.
Would like to contact anyone in this family group.
