James Greeson in Walton County 1850 with Wife Mary (Hill) James Greeson 28, Mary Greeson 24, Wm C Greeson 7, John F. Greeson 4, Thos G. Greeson 3, Lucy Sill Greeson 1, Emeline Greeson 1/12, and Winna Hill.
I was told by my mother that Mary's maiden name was Hill. This makes sense since I found Winna Hill living with them in 1850, however, after reasearching the Hills, I found that Winnie never married?Anyway, the Hills tie into the Greeson family several times, as do the Franklins, Bankstons, Bowmans, etc.
James Greeson is listed as a Jr in the census, I assume his father was also James Greeson. There is also another James Greeson in the Jackson County Census with wife Betsy. He is 60 years old.I know I've seen info on him on the web.Can anyone tell me if he may be the father of my James Greeson in Walton County?By the way, his family is also surrounded with Hill's.
My James Greeson died sometime in between 1852 and 1854, Mary remarried in 1854.Any help would be appreciated. Cyndi McCullers
