The Muegeln connection sounds very exciting indeed. My father's grandfather (Karl) Moritz Grellmann, born 8June 1851 in Muegeln/Sachsen,son of Carl Traugott Grellmann and Auguste Louise Concordia nee Deaweritz must have left Germany and emigrated to Americawith his 2 brothers and one sister some time between 1870 and 1880(not around 1890 as previously assumed) and settled in Burlingame, California. We do not know his siblings'names yet, however, a second sister of his was definitely Rosa Elise who never left Germany and died July 18, 1940 in Buch/Berlin.One of Moritz' brothers though may have been an Ernst. The RESEARCHCENTERGERMANEMIGRANTS INTHEUSAdid find an Ernst Grellmann from Bohlen who at the age of 22 embarked on the NORMANNIA from Hamburg to New York in 1897.Furthermore,there were ample of Amelies, Emelies and Emmas in our Grellmann-Line. While my research for Papa Moritz Grellmann has been to no avail so far,my findings in California disclosed who must have been three of his children:Rose,Robert and Edward and-possibly his wife Emelie (Emma). Because they all carry the same mother's maiden name. They all died in California,so did Alice Grellmann who may have been Edward's daughter. By the way,Carl Traugott Grellmann's parents were Johann Gottlieb Grellmann and Johanna Christiana nee Wohllebe. This is a cornucopia full of new material. It might lead somewhere!!
