Good day to all. Was wondering if someone out there could help me with my puzzle.
Through my maternal Grandmother, who's mother again was Winifred Greville MULLINER (b: 09 Apr 1889), I can trace my family to the GREVILLEs of St. Georges, Hanover Sq, London.
I thought it was going to be easy chasing the line down, being such a prestigious lot, but I have hit a brick wall.
It all started so well: Charlotte Agnes GREVILLE - m - Francis MULLINER
Her father was: Edwin GREVILLE - m - Mary Agnes COOKE
His father was: Robert GREVILLE (Rev’d) - m - Dorothy CHALONER
And I have from several sources his father was: Caleb GREVILLE - m - Esther UNKNOWN
I have a fair few siblings and branches to the above (and most of their bdm dates), however the problem is it stops dead (no pun intended) with ye olde Caleb here. None of the archives I have access to or bdm certificates I can find have anything further on him.
I believe there is a link to the GREVILLEs associated with the Earldom of Warwick / Warwick castle etc, something my late Grandmother also pointed out and which is also suggested by the author of this interesting snippet (http://rbg-web2.rbge.org.uk/bbs/Learning/Bryohistory/Bygone%20Bryologists/ROBERT%20KAYE%20GREVILLE.pdf).
Unfortunately, for now, I cannot find the link.
I thank you in advance for any help.
For anyone who is interested, I have extensive information on the following families: Wingate, Mulliner, Gilbert, Maule(-Ramsay), Holder, Rawlins, Sells amongst many others, which I am more than happy to share.
