What is a Gribble?

By genealogy.com user March 13, 2002 at 03:14:29

While I was attending Albright College in Reading, PA, friend of mine gave me a game card with the name "Gribble" on it. Prior to that, I had no idea that a gribble was an animate object. According to Webster's dictionary, a gribble is a small wood-boring crustacean of the genus LIMNORIA,esp. L.lignorum which often damages underwater wooden structures.

Isn't that ironic, as I am a scuba diver and would NEVER even think of damaging ANTHING underwater while diving!

My sister's name is Kari Gribble (David) and my brother's name is Mark Gribble.
