Do you have any information for the Emily Watson who about 1850 married William Henry Grocock, born c1820 London ENG?
Sabra Ann Cockrill’s maiden name was either Watson or Walton.
I mentioned that I have a new interest in the Grocock name since I found my relative Sabra Cockrill/Cockerill named in the will of an Elizabeth Grocock who died in March, 1826 in Finchley, England. The will is dated 15 November 1824.
Lawsuit is Cockerill v. Pitchforth 1845
My relative, Thomas Cockrill is contesting the will.
They wrote:Upon Mrs. Cockerill’s death, her husband instituted this suit against the trustees and Tomlinson, requiring the transfer of the fund to himself, alleging that the clause in the will directing the share or proportion of his wife to be for her separate use, &c., was applicable to her share in the real estate only.
