Pam I've talked to you in the past and you looked up John Sims Groover and his wives, (1)Vannie Newell and (2)Dora Newell in the Peter (Gruber)Groover book. Do you know if this book is still available, and if so, where it might be purchased? I'm still trying to find the GROOVER mother and the BANKS father of my great grandmother, Mary Margaret Banks. Many of the Groovers are buried here in Tx in Cotton Gin Cemetery, including: Bernice Groover, b.1878 & d. 1885; Willa E., infant daughter of F.H. Groover, b.10-16-1842, d. 1-28-1925 & Mollie P. Groover, b. 10-10-1841, d. 1-13-1922; William W. Groover, b. 2-22-1800, d. 1-3-1877; Mary E. Groover, b. 10-4-1879, d. 6-25-1881; Zama C. Groover, b.1882, d. 1883. Will you check to see if you have info on the above? There may also be a Ramsey family connected to Mary's mother, the unknown Groover lady, as she may have remarried after Mary Margaret's father died. This 2nd husband supposedly had a daughter named "Mattie" who later married a man named Thomas Ramsey. Any info on the above will be appreciated.
