Grosjean to Groshon in New York
I have traced my family back to Andre Grosjean born around 1730 in New York. His father, whose name is unknown, was born around 1700 in France.Andre Grosjean had a son named John Pierre Groshon born October 1, 1760 in New York.John Pierre had four sons (Abraham; William; Henry; and Frederick) and a daughter (Caroline).Abraham Groshon was born in New York, married in Maryland, and eventually lived in Washington DC.He had a son (J. Hanson Groshon) [I think] who was a printer.J. Hanson Groshon had a son (Clinton Dewitt Groshon)and two daughters (Georgie and Nettie).Clinton Dewitt Groshon was a bookbinder in Washington, D.C.He had two sons (Eugene and an unknown Groshon who I think died as an infant) and five daughters (Esther Rae; Inez; Vera; Zita; and Maisie).Eugene Groshon was the foreman of the mail room in the White House under the Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson administrations. He had two boys by his first marriage [Robert and Eugene].Does any of this fit in with anyone's histories?
