Thanks to someone voluntarily looking up info for me and helpfully answering one of my posts on another board, I am able to make this new enquiry in this forum hoping someone can help me further here.
I now realise that my husband's grandmother Mary Dorn (maiden name)b. 1880 Louisiana, had a mother Margaret Wilhelmine b.1857 whose first married name was Margaret Wilhelmine Guerin, birthplace Louisiana.Margaret apparently later had a second marriage to an Adam Kessler.I don't believe Mary ever used the surname Guerin, only her maiden name Dorn.Mary Dorn married Edward Bohm in 1899.(My husbands grandparents)
Mary I now believe had siblings Charles, George, Adele and Emile Guerin. And step-siblings John, Christine, Adam, Catherine, & Edna Kessler. All born 1880s, 1890s. It seems Emile went to live in Long Beach California with his sister Mary and her husband. He is living with them aged 15, in the 1900 census.
For my husband's sake, as well as furthering my genealogy research, I would love to hear from descendants of any of these siblings, as they would be distantly related to my husband, and for whatever reason, he never knew of any extended family for his grandmother Mary until now, which is a shame. But for him, better late than never!
