Tom, I was about to go to bed at midnight last night when I came across your message. I have some information on the Guilfoyle family. By coincidence I have been working on a timeline for the Guilfoyle Family. This is it so far. I have other items like the marriage certificate of Patrick and Catherine and some pictures of them and other relatives. I am interested in researching Dr. Tom Guilfoyle and his participation as a rescuer during the Cherry Mine Disaster in early 1900's at Cherry in Bureau County. If you have any information on Dr. Tom please copy me. The Cherry Mine disaster is still the biggest mine disaster in US history. It forced Congress to pass legislation that required companies to provide safety equipment for all workers. This event is considered as the starting point for many of today's goverment agencies like FDA, EPA, and FEMA. Aunt Anne Guilfoyle (mom's twin sister) has some good stories and old photographs. She is still living in Mendota and would love to hear from you. John
