Gumm Elmer WW2
Hello
I have adopted 4 graves of American soldiers in Margraten in the Netherlands. They died in ww2.
As adoptant I visit the cemetery a few times every year and bring them flowers and a thaught. The last Sunday in May is Memorial day; this is a great day of memorance, speaches by officials, many flowers, celebrated mass and a fly-over of Dutch and American fighters.
One of the soldiers is Elmer Gumm from Fayette Kentucky
Is it possible that there is still family?
All what I know about him:
Name: Gumm ElmerFayetteKentucky
ASN: 6667265
Unit: 168th Engineer Combat Battalion
Rank: SGT
Birth: jan-18-1921
DOD: dec-21-1944
Further I know that he had an older brother, Warren who was married and also a married sister.
I would like to know more about Elmer and his family.
Can someone help me with more information?
Thanks
