Robert G. Gupton, son ofTapley and Mildred Tucker Gupton was a Pvt Co. E. 13th Volunteer Inf.Kentucky - Union army
Stephen Miscall Gupton was a Capt. Co. F. 28th Vol. KY Union - Stephen M. son of Alexander and Frances Galloway Gupton.
William L. Gupton 1st Lt. company F, 28th Vol. Kentucky - Union. Also son of Alexander and Frances.
Tapley and Alexander were brothers.
