PA archives on line have a listing of marriages for rev Waldschmidt. Several of my Hag/Hacke family members are there.
Hack, Barbara dau. of Johannes Hack, deed, and Johannes Schreib son of Englehart Scheib; Nov 30 1756
Hack, Christofel son/of Johannes Hack deed, and Anna Maria eppler dau. of Valentin Eppler; 0ct 11, 1768.
A theory... may be that this Christofel is the Christofel Auhage who arrived in 1753 at the age of 20 years. He was accompanied by a Conrad Auhage age 43. When they signed their oaths of Allegiance in Phila. Conrad signed as Hage and Christofel as Auhagen. The prefix "Au" means "of" adding the "en" usually means the son of or the younger.
As you continue through these archive records you'll come across the marriage of Johannes Hage son of Conrad Hage, deed and Catherine Frey dau. of Johannes Frey ; Aug 7 1781
This couple are grandparents of mine.
I have no proof of these me being from the 1753 arrival to Philadelphia. There are other possibilties which I am also exploring but that early on its difficult to locate the records needed to proof the tie.
