I am looking to make contact with descendants of the following Hackett males listed below. Please email me at email@example.com (put HACKETT in the subject line so it calls my attention). The following Hackett males are the only two males owning land in Barnard, Windsor, Vermont in 1828 when my gr-gr-gr grandfather was born. I would love to share information I have collected on these families because I just summarized the information I have in this message. THANKS!
1. Warren Hackett - b. 1803 in possibly NH, d. 1847 in VT and married Sarah Silver (abt 1820) and Evelina Swan (abt 1845)
Warren and Sarah’s Children: James Monroe Hackett (1818-1898) – Married Helen J. Newton Azro F Hackett (1820-1902) – Married Pauline Whipple, Catherine A Merchant and Charlotte Snow
Warren and Evelina’s Children: James Hackett (1845-?) – Married ? Roxie Evelyn Hackett (1847-1898) – Married Harrison Woodward
**Most of Warren’s descendants remained in Vermont (such as Vergennes, Burlington, Westford, and Proctor).
2. Jonathan Hackett – b. between 1775 and 1794, d. before 1830 and married Mehitable C _____ (abt 1820)
Jonathan and Mehitable’s Children: Charles Warren Hackett (1820-1883) – Married Ann S. Wetherbee (abt 1845) Luther Holten Hackett (1823 – 1876) – Married Amanda Davis (1851) and Clara or Clarissa Columbia Jackson (1857)
**Charles relocated from Vermont to Boston area and eventually to Lawrence, Massachusetts area. Luther relocated from Vermont to Lawrence, Massachusetts area. Luther’s descendants end up in New Haven, Connecticut.
**There are more children between Jonathan and Mehitable, however the children are unknown at this time.
After the death of Jonathan, Mehitable remarried to Gilman B. Robinson (abt 1834).
