I don't know how much this will prove or disprove anything but I finally looked at this forum after researching my family history for a while. I am also a descendant of Christolph and Carolina and have the same book as Tyana so I'm interested how she connects and where she is from. I'm from Reedsville,WI the same area where most of the family immigrated to and am currently going to school at UW Madison where I work at the State Historical Library and have easy access to many records.
I remember meeting Charles Haese when about 10 years ago and i know my grandparents are still in contact with him so I was surprised to hear about him here. Most of the information I have is from the Haese book but I have also found information from church, vital, census records and www.familysearch.org. Through that site I found record of Christolph and Carolina's parents. It may be possible to go further back still but the only reason I could connect them among all of the other common names in Prussia was their birthdates from the book. The records i found of their births had no dates on the parents so going any further back would just be speculation.
Christolph was born 11 July 1786 in Gardin, Pommern, Preussen the son of Friedrich Johann Haese and Wilhelmina Rusch.
Carolina Backhaus was born 7 Nov 1794 also in Gardin the daughter of Gottlieb Backhaus and Caroline Louise Krueger.
I also have several ties to the Krueger family and would expect Tyana to also so a book from the same publisher and same type as the Haese book called Krueger Kin found at the Manitowoc public library was very helpfulalso.
