Uh.. maybe. I have a Narcisse, brother of my g-grandfather, supposedly dying in Northern New York in 1849 at age 28, according to church records in Clinton County, N.Y. But a Narcisse also turns up as the father of a child born in 1851. The records could be skewed. Narcisse is not, from what I can tell, a common name in the family. My g-grandfather was Joseph (b. 1822), the son of Alexis (1788), who moved the family from Quebec after the abortive rebellion of 1837-38. He settled in Mooers Forks, in Clinton County. Supposedly, two of Joseph's children (Alexander and Joseph) settled in Massachusetts.
