I'm sorry but I can't locate anything to add to your information. There are many "stray" Hansbrough/Hansbro/Hansbraw/etc. folks still unaccounted for. My William H. Hansbrough is one of those. Two lines are compelling possibilities for my lineage, but that's not documentation. My William b. abt 1825, was m. 3 times, 1st to Amanda McCarty, they had one child, George Washington Hansbrough b 1859 (my ggrandfather), 2ndm. Sidney Stateler, 3rd m. Clara??I have old letters relating to daughter from3rd marriage Clara H. m. Handy. My gr aunt communicated with her for years. Clara states she lost her parents when 14 yrs of age......what does "lost" mean?Died, left???I've tracked Clara being raised by a family, who she refers to and her children considered them grandparents, the only ones they knew. I do know from letters that William H. Hansbrough was in TN at some point in his life. He's never been found on ANY census, I do have records of his marriages though. He was b. VA or KY from what is on census record of son George W. Hansbrough, son of 1st marriage.
