Michael,
I descend from Bernard the Dane and his wife Sprota de Bourgogne, which I can take back a long way.
I have a book called "Harcoria" The History of the family Harcourt fro 860AD to 1930 written by William Harcourt -Bath. It is one of 3 of these books that I know of. The Library in Oxford England has a copy on microfish, and the Main library, San Diego, Ca. has the Orignal, bound in brown leather, tyoped with corrections in blue ink. I xeroxed that book to get a copy.
Big Question, were did all this info. come from or is it conjector.
As a example, you say where the name Harcourt comes from.
My Book says
The name seems to come from "Herr" ( A Teuteonic courtesy title), meaning
lord or gentleman and court meaning hall or mansion. I.E."HerrCourt" .
per Crispin and Macary, derived from G.A.La Roque,Hist. Geneal Maison de Harcourt the name derives from the bourg of Harcourt, near Brionne,France.
You say that Rollo's father is "Asketil, my records show his father and mother as Roglvald Eysteinsson, Jarl of North and Ragnhild Hrolfsson.
You also say they were cousins, I do not have Bernard's Parents names, however Bernard and Rollo married sisters.
I do not mean to be negative, but I have researched the Harcourt line for the last 45 years and I far as I know I have more information on the Harcourt line then anyone,I have books on the Harcout line in English and Fench ( cannot read)Look me up on the web.I have a lot of problemswith the info. you show here.
