George L Harder died Wednesday morning at the Bath Memorial Hospital after an illness of only a few days. He had been at his work on Saturday, but on Sunday he became acutely ill and was taken to the hospital, where he died. The funeral will be help this Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Hewlett Funeral Parlors, the Rev. George H. Allen Jr., officiating, with burial at Nondaga cemetary. George Harder came to Bath with his parents seventy years ago, and was an upright respected citizen during all those years. He was born in DeKalb, Ill., Novemeber 24, 1860, son of Sanford and Maldan Lyday Harder. He married Carrie Dudley on October 18, 1893, and their home, until 40 years ago, was this farm on Bonny Hill. SInce taht time the family lived in this village. Mr. Harder, during most of the time, being on the county and town highway staffs. Mr. Harder is survived by his wife, one son, Clay S. Harder, of this village, two grandchildren, Clay Harder, Jr., and Ann Harder, and by one brother, E.S. Harder, of Utica.

Mrs. Carrie Harder of 43 East Morris St, Bath, died yesterday in Bath Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 8, 1971, daughter of Henry C. and Rhetta Havens Dudley. She married George L. Harder Oct. 18, 1983 and they resided in Bath. He died in 1942.She was a member of the Bath Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a son, Clay Harder of Bath, five brothers,Egbert,George and Floyd Dudley, all of Bath, : Clay Dudley of Elmira and Frank Dudley of Beaumeont, Calif.: two grandchildren;several nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Bond Funeral Home wehre services will be held at 2 p.m., MOnday withthe Rev. Robert Cleveland Holland officiating. Burial will be made in Nondaga Cemetery in Bath.
