If you are interested in the family of Richard Hargraves IV, I have considerable information. Also, I may be able to look up some on the Searcy's. These 2 families lived in the Nutbush area, on the Mecklenburg Co., line for several generations. The Searcy name was prominent in early Granville records. The Hargraves were quite well-off planters who owned thousands of acres in Granville, Orange, Halifax, and probably others. I don't know anything about the Cavernes (sorry about spelling), but if you happen across anything to do with the Chapman or Shepard surname from Granville or surrounding counties, I would be very interested. Feel free to e-mail me directly.
