Thanks for your reply.Sorry for my delay in replying.
John Hartsock has provided information that looks like Savilah probably was the child of Daniel Hartsock Senior, probably born 1770 to 1780 who had five children:Daniel Jr., Elizabeth, Samuel and one other male and female. My John and Savilah probably are the two other.Samuel would be the shoemaker who stayed in Tioga Co.My John of Clayton Township, Michigan was also a shoemaker.
In connecting a researcher in Tioga, she located that there was a Daniel and Daniel Jr. in the 1824 tax rolls, so we know this Daniel was probably the parent. He doesn't appear later than 1824 so died before the 1830 census. He is alleged to have married a Miss Beck (d. of Andrew Beck and I forget his wife's name).Daniel came from Holland, went to Schuylkill, and later to Williamsport.Lycoming county may well hold the key.Friedins Cemetery is where Daniiel is buried.Liberty Twp was originally part of Lycoming Co.I would have to verify that.
So I have a few leads.LDS tapes for the Lutheran Church in Tioga may be helpful as well as cemetery records.
Keep in touch. Thanks for your help.Your migration information for Tioga is helpful - I need to study more.
