We do not often here from the New England Harvells. The late Michael Harwell Flanagan had some information on the ancestors of Almon in case you are looking for it.Some of this information appears to have come from a Harvell family researcher in the northeast area as noted by MHF in his files.I am sending you a file by separate e-mail that provides this information with notes, etc. Do you happen to know any living descendants of Almon Harvell that have the Harvell (or similar variation) surname? It would be very interesting to have one of them submit a DNA test to see how closely they may match their "possible southern cousins". I noticed their are Parhams in Almon's lineage and the Parhams and Harwell/Harvells had connections in Virginia.
The email file will provide a lot more detail but here is the basic ancestry line of Almon Harvell as we show it.Note that you show 5 children of Almon while we have only one in our records. Starting with the earliest...

5.ALMON HARVELL: born 12 July 1795 in Derryfield, NH; died ?)Married DELENA CLELAND.They had son, John Cleland Harvell (plus 4 more siblings shown in your posting).Almon's line continues for several generations through his son John Cleland which will appear in the file.
*** note that you show Almon born 1814 in Maine, but this sounds like the same guy.Your 1814 date does seem more logical given the births of the children. Lookn over the file and if you can provide us with any more verification or addditions it would be greatly appreciated. Also if you could put us into contact with any of the living male Harvell descendants for the possiblity of the DNA tests. Hope this is of some help.
