That would be great! However, I finally got my brain in gear and remembered that my husband's Great Aunt gave me a booklet that was compiled by Rilla Baldwin (1876-1962).
I found the list of John Crittenden Hatchett's children, their marriages, and their children.
I find that John's daughter, Kitty Adelaide Hatchett, b. 1878 in Texas, married George Darnell in Oklahoma (don't know date). They had two children, Villa Darnell and Dorothy Darnell.Kitty died in 1961 in Texas.
So, the Kitty Adelaide Hatchett who was born in 1855 could not be John Crittenden Hatchett's daughter.
I found John and Julia Ann Brown Hatchett on the 1870 Nebraska census, Butler Co., Oak Creek Prct.Roll 828, Bk. 1, page 60a, Dwelling/Family 278/278, lines 14 - 20. On this census, John was listed as "J. S. Hatchet".
1880 Texas, Erath County, Prct. 4, Roll 1302, page 74b, dwelling/family 30/30, lines 18 - 29.He is listed as "John C. Hatchett", with wife Julia, and Kitty is listed as Kiddy at one year old, b. Texas.
I saw another person on GenForum, Phillip Snow, listed "Kiddie (Kitty) Adelaide Hatchett, b. 1855, as a daughter of John Crittenden and Julia Ann Brown Hatchett. He has this Kitty married to Thornton LaFayette Stigler.
Could this Kitty be John Crittenden Hatchett's sister?
I am sure a mistake has been made by giving this Kitty (b. 1855) to John as his daughter.John and Julia Ann were married in Missouri in 1861.
I will be so happy to receive anything you might like to send.I would also be happy to send you a copy of this material compiled by Rilla Baldwin. If you want it, let me know.
