My dad has does a fair amount of work on our family tree. Although, the Haughey side kind of gets muddled.
This is what I got:
5th. Patrick Haughey b.???? d.???? Marguerita Hogan b.???? d.???? 4th. Edward Haughey b.1882 d. 195? Mary Reddin b. 1884 d. 1981 3rd. Charles Joseph Haughey b. 1909 d. 197? Rachel Louise Taber b 1912-199? ( I don't have these death dates handy right now, sorry) 2nd Charles Henry Haughey b. 1934- Marguerita Ella Shand 1935- 1st John Joseph Haughey 1960- Lisa Ann Kopp 1964-
Edward and Mary were married in Mass. Mary changed her name from Reddin to Reddington when she got off the boat in Ellis Island ( from Ireland), she was 13, she changed her name 'cause Reddin supposely was looked upon as low class whereas Reddington was high class? She saved up enough to get her younger sister Anna across a few years later, Anna kept Reddin as her surname.
Word of mouth - Patrick was from New York and had a shop in Times Square.
If anybody can offer any insights I would appreciate it.
