Wow, didn't think anyone would reply. Yes, Rick and I are 1st cousins. I haven't seen him since about 2003 though. Ricks father and my father are brothers. They had a sister named 'Betsy' (Elizabeth Haynes)she passed about 4-5 years ago. Although our grandfathers name was Clyde Havins, all of the other names fit. Our grandmother maggie passed on New Years eve 2006, so that time frame works too...as well as the Salome connection. I know that my uncle Richard (affectionatley called Geezer) and his wife Lee live in Salome now, and I think are still chicken brokers. Let me know if you have any questions or need to fill in the blanks. What are your boy's names? I suppose they are my 2nd cousins, right? I did some research on this site and went over a few things with my dad, and tracked the Havins name back to the mid-1600's coming here from England. It was John Havins, he had sold himself as an indentured servant to gain passage to the US. Although his family was wealthy, he didn't see eye to eye with his father (things don't change much) so he came here.
I hope to hear back from you, take care.
Eric
