Batavia (Illinois) Herald, Feb. 9, 1945 Mrs. Frances Hazen Mallory Batavia relatives and friends were sorry to larn of the death of Mrs. Frances Hazen Mallory, 73, widow of A.D. Mallory, of Omaha, Neb., and formerly of this city.
Mrs. Mallory was born Aug. 31, 1871.Her girlhood was spent in St. Charles and she moved to Batavia with her parents when her father, D.B. Hazen, became superintendent of East Batavia schools.
After completing her education she was employed in the office of the U.S.W.E.& P. Co. until her marriage. She is survived by two sons, Lt. Richard Mallory of Omaha, who is located in the procurement department of the Navy in Cincinnati, and Bolton Mallory of Mexico; a step-son, Dr. Meredith Mallory of Orlando, Fla; a step-daughter living in South America; a sister, Mrs. Leo Winslow of Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada; a niece, Miss Josie Mallory and a nephew F.P. Smith in Batavia, besides several grandchildren.
Remains of Mrs. Mallory will arrive from Omaha Saturday morning and will be removed to the Burnett & Johnson funeral home. Burial will be Saturday afternoon at West Batavia cemetery.
