It hasn't been verified by me but from what I have read Eliza McCloud's history seems to be quite interesting.

"While still married to Nancy, Jacob was carrying on with Eliza McCloud and she had four sons by him, including one born in Missouri.
Jacob also bought land in DeKalb County, Missouri on May 1, 1846. He must have taken Eliza along on that trip to Missouri as one of her sons was born in Missouri. He bought 40 acres in Tipton County, Indiana in 1843 and gave it to Eliza. He later married her on January 3, 1848 in Hamilton County, Indiana, which later became part of Tipton. His will was dated July 21, 1849 and was probated on August 30, 1849. In it, he left $1 each to Henry Varner (a son?), Lydia Ann Whippo, Jane Richardson, and Lucinda Stockton. He left the rest to Eliza and her sons, Benjamin Varner, born about 1842 in Indiana; Newton Jefferson Varner, born August 4, 1843 in Indiana; Andrew Marion Varner, born 1846 in Missouri; and John Granville Varner, born March 28, 1849 in Indiana."
